Objects in the control plane

Access is provisioned with the contract. These are the objects operators and integrations work with. They describe the television business — the channel, the slate, the break, and the screen — not a public sandbox.

  • Channel

The branded network. It holds the schedule, the graphics, and the break structure that every surface shares.

  • Source

A library title or a live feed. Sources are placed on a timeline or taken on the Live Desk.

  • Timeline

Dayparts, playlists, and live slots inside Channel Foundry. This is the plan for what airs.

  • Desk

Program, preview, and failover state for a live event. The desk is how an operator takes the next source.

  • Marker

An SCTE-35 cue on an output. Edge Splice detects the marker and opens the break.

  • Decision

The Moment Exchange result for that break: which demand ran, and which rule allowed it.

  • Destination

A FAST platform, owned app, hospitality site, or sports endpoint. Network Fabric packages the channel for each one.

  • Session

One viewer session. It is how fill, quality, and proof of what aired are read after the break.

Credentials, endpoints, and environment URLs are issued per deployment. For an integration review, use the contact page and name the network you are launching.
